Closed. the bag is about 5 1/2 tall and 8 wide. Open. this bag is about 10 1/4 tall and 8 wide.  Bag tapers down to about 5 across at the very bottom. Fits a belt width of up to 2-3/4 .  Latch the flap shut with the 1 domed brass button. Leather color varies.
